National Heritage Open Day Training Events

Accentuate is particularly focussing on improving access for disabled visitors and audience development. The days will also encourage those putting on Heritage Open Day events during 2013 (September 12-15), to consider creative ways to bring their activities to life.

Sessions will run from 11am-4pm and will provide:

  • Practical guidance on making your events more inclusive on a budget
  • Interactive, hands-on activities with an expert accessibility practitioner
  • Opportunity to share ideas, questions and best practice
  • One-to-one follow up call and toolkit
  • Lunch

The events will be taking place in three locations throughout England: 14th March, Leeds Art Gallery, Leeds

15th March, Tyneside Cinema, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne

19th March, Clore Learning Centre, Kensington Palace
