Camilla Brueton

Issue 2: Our View

Our View will ensure that deaf and disabled people are at the heart of Accentuate, steering the programme and contributing valuable expertise. Over the last few weeks we have been recruiting the Our View project manager and the Core Advisory Group. We are delighted to welcome to the Accentuate team Camilla Brueton.

Camilla is a London based artist and arts professional. She has worked with small and medium sized arts organisations, and managed a variety of projects including ‘Write Up Your Street’ a pan London writing competition, ‘Trajectory’ a professional development scheme for mid career artists and ‘Resonant Training’ a scheme initiated by an artist led group of deaf women artists. Camilla’s artistic practice is concerned with public and communal space; how it is used, viewed and remembered.

Camilla also has an interest in sport. She regularly plays rugby for Rosslyn Park Ladies and cycles and runs for fun. A few years ago she had the privilege of training with the now Paralympic champion rower, Helene Raynsford.

Camilla will be providing support and overall management of Our View and will be working one day a week. We are very excited about moving forward with Our View and we hope to announce the Core Advisory members imminently. They will be contributing a regular blog to the Accentuate website about their experiences as Accentuate Ambassadors and their roles within steering the vision and direction of the programme.
